Skare butik & stöperi is located at Hornöberget, right by the hotel.

You can see candles being made from start to finish and buy beautiful handmade and hand-painted candles in the shop. In addition, the shop stocks a wide collection of unique designer goods from both local and international artists and designers.

Docksta sko – A Swedish tradition since 1923  

Docksta Sko, located in the middle of the High Coast World Heritage Site at the foot of Skuleberget, is one of the few shoe factories left in Sweden. It dates back to 1923 and all its shoes are still made here on site by hand. The company focuses on sustainability and quality, just as it did when it was founded almost a century ago.

Here you will find famous Swedish classics such as Gunilla, Patrik and Karl-Astrid - loved by the whole family for generations. They are accompanied by new models such as Docksta Brogues, which were designed in collaboration with Mats Theselius. The entire range is available in their webshop www.dockstasko.se, but if you are passing, make sure you visit their factory store where you can also buy samples and seconds for reduced prices.

Sidengalleriet – Silk Gallery

Meet artist Ingrid Edberg Norlin in her “Butterfly House”, located on its own little hill in the middle of the High Coast.

Let all your senses be activated. Working as a textile artist and clothing designer gives you a lot of space for creative expression – to work with colour and form in your own personal style. One of Ingrid's greatest passions is painting on silk, she uses genuine Chinese silk and organic dyes. The merino wool she uses is from South Africa and is guaranteed mulesing free. 

Mjälloms Tunnbröd – Flat Bread Bakery

When you visit the High Coast you must take the opportunity to visit the source of Swedish flatbread culture – Mjälloms Tunnbröd – it is the oldest flatbread bakery in the country.

The history of flatbread goes far back in time and has its origins in the High Coast region. Mjälloms Tunnbröd bakes flatbread according to the same process as when they opened in 1923. You can read about their almost 100 year history and learn about the traditional handicraft of baking flatbread and all the steps of the baking process. New this year is their delicatessen that not only sells their entire flatbread range at factory prices, it also has a large assortment of cheeses, cold meats and countless other delicacies from near and far.
